Sita is a goddess separated from her beloved Lord and husband Rama. Nina is an animator whose husband moves to India, then dumps her by email. Three hilarious shadow puppets narrate both ancient tragedy and modern comedy in this beautifully animated interpretation of the Indian epic Ramayana. Set to the 1920’s jazz vocals of Annette Hanshaw, Sita Sings the Blues earns its tagline as “the Greatest Break-Up Story Ever Told.”

Ein junger Wissenschaftler greift nach dem äussersten Mittel, um seine Forschungen zu beenden: dem Selbstversuch mit einem seltenen Halluzinogen. Doch der Trip führt ihn nicht nur zurück nach Südamerika, an den Ausgangspunkt seiner Suche nach der Droge. Unfähig zu kommunizieren, erwacht er in einer  befremdlichen Klinik und unfähig, mit seinem Handeln das Geschehen zu beeinflussen, erlebt er immer wieder die letzten Stunden bis zur Einnahme der Droge, in einer Welt, die mit jeder Einnahme mächtiger wird. Es beginnt ein Wettlauf gegen den Wahnsinn.?

The Science Fiction film ?The Last Drug? , which cost 300.000 Euros is the most complex Open Source feature production. The publication is planned for the end of 2009 – However the film producer will show the first preview at the Netaudio Festival!

Route 66 quickly became popular as Germany’s first Open Source Film after its release under a Creative Commons License in 2004. Downloaded a million times, spread on 600.000 DVDs and used by artists and colleges around Europe, the movie lead to the foundation of the Open Source Film Netlabel VEB FILM Leipzig.

Deutschlands erster Open Source Film. Drei naive Jungs traeumen von Hollywood. Dabei setzen sie auf die amerikanischsten Werte, die ihnen einfallen: ein unsinnig monstroeses Auto, voll gestopft mit Fast Food, Oelflaschen und Kameratechnik, auf dem Weg nach Kalifornien via Route 66. Auf der Suche nach den amerikanischen Klischees kommt es zu ungeplanten Zwischenfaellen….
