Besucher des natudio.festival.berlin 2007 haben ja Mogwai von kreislauf.fm schon kennen gelernt (Topic: Vom Club zum Netlabel). Auf dem Festival hat er uns ja schon etwas von seinen vielfältigen Aktivitäten erzählt. Allerdings hatte er alles ziemlich knapp halten müssen.

Jüngst ist der Berliner Netaudio-Artists Dr. Nojoke (er war ja auch auf dem netaudio.festival vertreten) nach Hamburg gereist und hat kurzentschlossen dessen Sendung Kreislauf fm übernommen - um den Gastgeber zum Studiogast zu machen und dessen vielschichtige Erfahrungswelten zu erforschen.

In einer entspannten Atmosphäre haben sich die beiden Aktivisten unterhalten, über netaudio, freie Musikszenen und vieles mehr. Außerdem hat Mogwai dazu Musik herausgesucht, die ihm ans Herz gewachsen ist und von der er meint, dass wir sie kennen(lernen) sollten…

Netaudio’08 will take place from 22nd to 25th October 2008 at the Shunt Lounge, London SE1. The Netaudio team is thrilled that they have secured this exciting place for the next festival: With is multiple rooms and spaces it should give us the chance to reflect the sounds of the Internet more than ever.

The Shunt Lounge is a members club deep in the tunnels under London Bridge Station. It is open from Wednesday till Saturday and plays host to a raft of arts performances and installations. As there are still a few months to the Netaudio Festival, we recommend you to check out the Shunt programme and visit the Shunt lounge!

At the last weekend the netaudio.london crew gave us a visit and it seems like we’re going to have this years netaudio festival moving back to London. Andi Studer, driving force and mastermind of the last netaudio festival in London in 2006 (checkout: netaudiolondon.cc) said, the 2007 Berlin experience gave them the last push to set up another festival this year. (That’s a tasty aspect…!):

“After a great festival held in Berlin in 2007, Netaudio’08 will take place in London again. The festival is planned for September/October. Before this we will produce some taster events, offer some downloads and much more.”

Interested partners, collaborators and sponsors: the London crew would love to hear your ideas, please get in touch. 2009 the festival is supposed to return to Berlin again. Call for entries might be done in march.
