Jimmy Behan_300dpiJimmy Behan is an Irish musician working primarily in electro-acoustic and microsound music. His work features a mixture of acoustic and electronic sound sources, computer processing and field recordings.

He released his debut album Days Are What We Live In in 2004 on Elusive Recordings (Ireland) before studying for a Masters Degree in Music & Media Technologies in Trinity College, Dublin.

In June 2008, he released the In The Sudden Distance EP on the Zymogen netlabel (Italy) along with the self-released compilation Remixes.

In May 2009, his second album The Echo Garden, was released on Audiobulb Records (UK), while he also featured on the net compilation Au Clair De La Lune (Digital) on Infrequency Records (Canada).

Currently, much of his work focuses on finding emotional connections between the physicality of sounds and their contexts. Recurring themes include our relationship with the environment, the passing of time and memory.
